Thank God (or maybe Satan?) for the new bands that are making an entrance in the always stale, conservative and cliché-ridden Argentine metal scene. Ühtceare is born from the mind of Marcos Agüero, best known in the local scene for being the mastermind behind one of the country's most successful and pioneering blackgaze bands, Huszar.

With this album, Marcos shows that Ühtceare is not just a side-project but a completely different entity, another part of his always twisted and agonizing soul. With influences as varied as Leviathan, Blut aus Nord and even Scott Walker (R.I.P.), his craft is at its finest moment, not only regarding the songwriting aspects but also the technical ones.

The album contains four different tracks that take the listener through a journey of frustration, pain and engulfing rage. It may look like atmospheric black metal on the surface, but there's more to it once the first track starts. There's of course the tormented shrieks, the evil tremolo riffing and the infernal blast beats, true, but there's also more elements that make the album quite unique.

Tribal drum paterns accompanied by eerie, darkwave-esque synths, chorus infused clean guitars that create gothic mournful melodies, urban industrial beats straight out of 777 - Sect(s)... Even operatic vocals that remind of singers such as Attila Csihar or the aforementioned Scott Walker! In fact, there's a tangible influence in here of works such as The Drift: the textures, the darkness and the ominous ambiences instantly bring Walker's work to mind.

El Genocidio Primordial Llevará El Nombre Infinito De La Empatía sets the bar very high for the Argentine metal scene. Once a laughable, childish and pathetic scene, it now brings forth new bands that are not only making high quality music, but also daring and original art pieces. Ühtceare is undoubtedly one of the torch bearers for this new generation of Argentine metal music, thus forcing the eyes of the world into this small but growing scene.
